A Gay Erotic Murder-Mystery
The action takes place during the summer of 1977, when Britain is preparing to celebrate the Silver Jubilee.
26-years-old hunk Kristian Parks and Danny Reynolds, his slightly older lover, have been in a contented relationship for three years. Both work at the colliery in their South Yorkshire village—Kristian in the offices, Danny down the pit. During a visit to the cemetery to place flowers on the grave of Kristian’s uncle, Jack, they encounter Edwin Thompson, Jack’s lover when they were interned in a prison-camp during World War Two.
Life turns topsy-turvy for Kristian when Edwin is murdered. Danny, suspected of the deed, suddenly disappears—while the police believe that Edwin may not have been his only victim. Wanting nothing more to do with him, Kristian becomes involved with two sexy enforcers of the law who are investigating the case.
Constable Paul Warren was in the same class as Kristian at grammar school and Kristian recalls how—not long after they turned eighteen—this Titan beefcake tried to seduce him in the shower-block after rugby practice. Shortly afterwards, Paul joined the police, married, and moved out of the area. Now he is back, about to be divorced, and Kristian falls for him on the rebound. The pair take a trip down Memory Lane and head for Cleethorpes, the Lancashire resort where they holidayed with their parents while growing up. While here, an attempt is made on Paul’s life which results in him being hospitalised.
Enter Detective-Constable Sinclair Greenwood, with whom Kristian has previously enjoyed a one-night stand, but whose identity and vocation is only revealed to him now. With Paul out of action, Sinclair occupies his place in Kristian’s affections, while between them they try to work out who really killed Edwin Thompson—an investigation which progressively reveals that Danny may well be innocent, especially when another dishy individual enters the equation—though to reveal more would ruin the plot of Joey Jenkinson’s exciting, passion-packed new story.
