Joey's Bumper Compendium of Risqué Jokes & Anecdotes / Joey's Second Bumper Compendium of Risqué Jokes & Anecdotes

Joey says...

If you’ve got this far we’ll have one thing in common: smutty, ribald, healthy humour. Some of these jokes you may already know, perhaps in other versions. Some are dirty—some are downright silly. Some you might get away with repeating to your partner’s fussy mother, one or two might make you blanch. I’ve adapted some of the jokes and “stories” in this collection to adhere to all-important political correctness: no homophobia, racism, or mocking the afflicted. Of course, if you happen to be a hillbilly or a member of the clergy or a religious institution, or if you’re a working girl, or an elderly lady with a younger, priapic lover, then this might not be the one for you. I haven’t divided the collection into categories. This I find boring! Neither have I restricted my choices to the wonderful world of being gay. Straight and bisexual people like to laugh and be laughed at as much as we do, all in the best possible taste, of course. I might also add that any resemblance between the phenomenally-endowed Tarzan, the young but naïve musician Jeremy, 86-year old nymphomaniac Nelly, Mavis and Jim, the argumentative Maurice and Mildred, and the various hillbilly, priest and nun characters featured here is very definitely not coincidental. Neither is it my intention to titillate—just hopefully to make you titter. If you’re looking for unadulterated eroticism and the splashy-grunty stuff, then you’ll have to grab a copy of Matt & Stuart’s Continental Adventure, or one of its stablemates! So, here goes…

WhenTwo Wrongs Make A Right: The Nico Bromley Story: A Gay Erotic Drama

Tonbridge, Kent. Twenty-something Nico Bromley feels that he may never get over losing the love of his life, Davy, in a motorcycle accident. It has been three years, now. He was sure that sexy French stud Claude might have been the one, but their affair goes pear-shaped after Nico has a massive lottery win, with him rushing home to impart the good tidings, only to find Claude getting intimate with another man. Nico and Claude have always gone shares with the lottery tickets, but he is so incensed that he walks out on Claude, jacks in his job at the tax office, and makes arrangements to travel to France for a reunion with Antoine Davinsky, the professional footballer he had a fling with before hooking up with Claude.

All does not go to plan, however, when Nico stops off en-route at a Kentish coastal resort he has never visited before. Here he meets hunky barman Adam Templeton. It is love at first sight, with Nico unaware that Adam has a personal dilemma he needs to escape from.

Acting on a whim, Nico allows Adam to accompany him across the Channel, aware that this may put his plans for a rendez-vous with Adam in jeopardy~the fact that he and Adam are open about their sexuality, while Antoine is deeply closeted. Therefore, should he and the Frenchman take their relationship to the next level, things would have to be kept under wrap for the sake of Antoine's career.

Nico and Adam arrive at a hotel in Gravelines, near Dunkerque, where Antoine lives. Two days of bliss follow, causing Nico to change his mind about meeing up with Antoine. Then, when Adam suddenly disappears, giving every impression that he has returned to England to face whatever demons he has left behind, Nico changes his mind once more. He goes to Dunkerque, where Antoine owns a sumptuous penthouse.

For almost a month, the pair enjoy a blissful existence, until Fate raises its ugly head. It emerges that Adam did not return to England, that he was badly injured and hospitalised after a homophobic incident in Gravelines, and that he was not the attacker's only victim. Antoine is away from home when police visit and question Nico who, in a recurring Joey Jenkinson theme, enyoys a romantic liaison with one of the investigating officers, and which results in him being faced with a dilemma. Which lover will he choose? The hunky barman, or the sexy but closeted Frenchman?

A First Time For Everything… The Selby Forbes Story: A Gay Erotic Journey of Discovery

Illustrated with photographs from his nostalgia collection, Joey Jenkinson’s latest story follows a regular pattern: that of a gay young man growing up in a household with an abusive father and long-suffering mother—who finds the affection missing during his youth with what Oscar Wilde called, “The love that dare not speak its name.”

The story opens in 1978, when 18-year-old best friends Selby Forbes and Philip “Pip” Watson, leave their Yorkshire grammar school and embark on their respective careers—Selby working for his local newspaper, Pip joining the police force.

Within weeks of leaving school, courtesy of a day-trip to the coast followed by a walk along the canal tow-path near their home, Selby and Pip are no longer best friends—but lovers. To get away from his father, Selby moves into a place of his own, while his mother moves in with her sister and instigates divorce proceedings.

The story moves on…

Selby and Pip spend their second anniversary in the coastal resort of Whitby, which holds so many unpleasant memories for Selby—Pip’s way of helping him to exorcise his childhood demons. He returns home, however, to bad news—his beloved mother has died. Soon afterwards, he receives a promotion and is sent to Durham to report on a murder trial—here he seduces his older colleague, Mick Buchanan. Upon his return, he learns that his father already had a mistress while his mother was alive—the matriarch of the Franklyn family, the scourge of the neighbourhood. Then his father is badly injured in a hit-and-run and later dies, and the real drama begins, testing Selby and those closest to him to the limit.

As the Franklyns wreak havoc on the lovers, Pip disappears. Then Leon Porter—the son of Selby’s editor who was recently arrested in the local park and charged with lewd behaviour—is beaten up, and asks for Selby to visit him in hospital, though they have never met. Subsequently, when Selby realises why Leon has asked to see him, they become lovers. Adding to the intrigue is Tim Moffatt, a dishy young constable who may or may not hold the clues to solving a complex, sexually-charged mystery.

To reveal more would only spoil the surprising ending to this story…

All About Yves

 A Gay Erotic Murder-Mystery

Yves Leclerc has it all: stunning looks, wealth, a beautiful home in Bruges, and an exciting gay playboy lifestyle. Then as he is about to be reunited with Pierre, his soap-star lover, his world falls apart when he is framed for a murder he did not commit. Escaping from police custody he goes in the run, crossing the border into Holland in search of clues to prove his innocence. Entering the equation and providing Yves with vital pieces to the puzzle...and lots of bedroom activity...are dishy American escort Danny West, who is having an affair with Paul Gregory, a closeted but sympathetic cop involved with the investigation…and Mario Mancini, a handsome Italian entrepreneur with whom Yves falls in love. There is also a sub-plot involving moody Romanian painter Jeff Surka, who has slept with most of the protagonists in the story. It is his inadvertent involvement with the sleazier side of the Dutch porn industry, which provides the final link to the mystery, enabling the real killer to be revealed.

This is a sexy mystery from a writer that I am just becoming familiar with. It's a fun read and has a good plot and character development. It is an erotic novel but the sex is just a part of the narrative and not the dominant thing. I went out a purchased the other mystery books by Jenkison and hope they are as good as this one.

The Tawleigh Manor Mystery / Joseph Smart et le mystère Tawleigh

 A Gay Erotic Whodunnit

Celebrity photographer Simon and rich-boy Andrew were lovers who lived together until four years ago, when they split up and Andrew moved with his family to South Africa. Now, Andrew is back in England, living at his parents’ Devonshire retreat, Tawleigh Manor. Out of the blue, he invites Simon down from Yorkshire in the hope of rekindling their flame.

At Tawleigh, Simon becomes intrigued with a 50-year-old murder mystery: in 1961, a socialite named Joseph Smart bought the house, turning it into a gay “den of iniquity” and shocking the local community—a phase which ended with a woman being found murdered in the cellar, Smart getting arrested, and subsequently escaping from prison to hang himself in one of the bedrooms.

No sooner has Simon been reunited with his lover than strange things begin happening to him. Does Joseph Smart still have a hold over the place from beyond the grave?

Entering the equation and succumbing to Simon’s charms—not to mention his obvious attributes—are Nick Baxter, a priapic local handyman—and Paul Bryant, a hunky young newspaperman who helps Simon with his investigation. But, are these sexy young men all that they seem? Does the sinister housekeeper, Jane Ruddock, know more than she it letting on? And why was Lily Gordon—the young maid who discovered Smart’s body—so quickly certified insane and ensconced in a psychiatric institution?

Will Simon solve “The Joseph Smart Mystery” as his life is increasingly put into more danger? And more importantly, will he survive to tell the tale?
